The staid and wealthy William Bentley has turned the operation of his business over to his son. He leaves to board a cruise ship in Barcelona, Spain to cruise along the French Riviera to Rome, Italy. During a three-hour layover in Amsterdam, he encounters the beautiful Helen Maxwell, who has become lost while attempting to locate her boarding gate in the large airport. His vacation has barely gotten underway, but this chance encounter with this charming “kind of dumb, but kind of smart” woman will up-end all of his vacation plans.
